However, this program does not require any certification so you could be a teacher or community organizer who would like to continue his/her studies and train for this certification in the future.
The training is offered in two formats: online and classroom. Online trainings are offered in an accelerated format; typically, students can complete the program in six months and get an official degree in less than three years. On the other hand, classroom trainings are taught by certified teachers. They deliver the material in a more traditional classroom setting using a set of materials and a structured delivery.
There are different levels of training for you to choose from depending on your educational and work experience. You can choose a full course, one or two-credit units, or only the full degree. If you want to learn about the more advanced concepts of this training and get credits towards your certification, you might want to take courses in Clinical Psychology and Counselor Education and Therapeutic Counseling.
