Requirements and Formats

In order to train for this program, you must be licensed as a mental health professional, or in some cases as a mental health nurse, psychotherapist or social worker. However, this program does not require any certification so you could be a teacher or community organizer who would like to continue his/her studies and train for this certification in the future.

The training is offered in two formats: online and classroom. Online trainings are offered in an accelerated format; typically, students can complete the program in six months and get an official degree in less than three years. On the other hand, classroom trainings are taught by certified teachers. They deliver the material in a more traditional classroom setting using a set of materials and a structured delivery.
